Pioneer again showcase the super multi-layer read-only optical disc, which features 16 separate layer on one side of the disc, and 25GB of storage capacity in each layer, so the total storage capacity up to 400GB. Pioneer announced the BD (Blu-ray Disc) in the event at Taipei IT Month. According to the Pioneer High Fidelity Taiwan, technology, super multi-layer read-only discs, based on the Blu-ray Disc (BD) with a layer of material reflektif. Specifications of the PUH (Pick-Up Head) discs is the same as in the blank BD disc, the disc so that the Pioneer can also be read using a BD player. For the development of technology, multi-layer read-only has started from 2008 until 2010, while rewritable discs for the multi-layer in 2010 until 2012, and 1TB (1000GB) discs in 2013.
